They do not have company supplied health benefits or paid vacation. Classifying them as independent contractors is simply a way to avoid paying benefits or a decent wage or overtime. I can’t think of many people who are exploited more conspicuously than Amazon drivers. Worse, police have a union. I thought union workers stood up for one another. This is actually shocking!
