The past few Fridays have become calls for a General Strike. But people continue to go into work, buy using credit cards, go out to eat, shop online, and engage in normal life as a pawn of capitalism.
It's literally one day out of seven to give it a rest.
Join those that are in that movement and encourage it to grow. Each one matters - every tree in the forest.
It's all part of a large connected system to protect the bourgeois & class sell outs like Eric Adams willing to do it for ego & a few pieces of silver. Funny enough I read a tweet this morning saying the downfall of Red Lobster was not endless shrimp. It was a sale to hedgefunds that owned Red Lobster property & rented back to Red Lobster. It was rent increases for profit not the shrimp!
Great article, Josh, and I'm so glad to see you connecting these dots.
Looking at the international scene, the left has a lot of allies right now, and the systems the elite class uphold are under attack as the dollar is quickly losing its status as global currency, and as the western nations continue to make buffoons of themselves on the international stage.
The global majority has known for a long time just how deceitful and destructive these nations have been, and we who live in these countries are seeing it clearly and, for some, for the first time.
We need to use our power to change things for the better. The fascist alternative could well be the end of all of us.
Iโm curious to hear more about the interpersonal pieces to experience #1, about the tiny home. Your jaw was on the floor in your friendsโ home. Were the builders aware of the absurdity? Were they grappling with the fact of the sale and their own need to survive and earn $? Or were they sad it wasnโt more like $750k each? Was your mutual friend defensive? Stressed at the dinner table dynamic after this conversation? Were you able to speak up and counter that reality in the moment? Did your mutual friend hold space for that? I wonder about and ask these questions because, I think, moments like that are opportunities where solidarity can be built. With the right compassion and curiosity, we can prod at those things that some see as totally normal and share that itโs, in fact, not at all. I think that learning and building understanding happens on substack, sure, but Iโm so hopeful that it can also happen in community around the dinner table too. Thanks for sharing.
General strike, hold democrats accountable for accepting AIPAC money, vote independent, stop buying shit, grow your own food whenever possible, and get guns.
Ultimately, culling the population is the goal of the billionaires and their lackeys. It's ugly to think about, but there is a strong case to be made for this, as I did in June 2022. Consider the totality of the circumstantial evidence. https://geoffreydeihl.substack.com/p/circumstantial-evidence
All social issues ultimately stem from power differentials. As value of organized religion declines, when it comes to assigning elevated status of significance, decision making and power projection, capitalism had filled the vacuum. Whoever thinks local, let alone global, issues are not interconnected by capital's ability to skew outcomes in it's favor, is likely immersed in capital's ultimate power projection: popular media
Governments because their are NO meaningful land use policies other than to grow tax bases and satisfy various businesses & their lobbyist monies & retain/ tweak/ promulgate new laws in favor of these "citizen" recognized entities; insurance companies for failing to prevent/ stop policy holders from living/ building in areas where Mother Nature's weather rules to vast degree.
Insurance policyholders, etc, (& insurance ncluding FEMA) making claims to be compensated when say wildfires ot hurricanes destroy properties (in many cases multiple times). Land use policies taking such events into consideration would push goverments & insurance entities to adapt the policies, insurance premiums wouldn't skyrocket-- like mine did this year because my insurance company repeatedly paid claims it could ill-afford. I've since read not too many can afford such insurance anymore & those who've lived/ made claims are literally whining being refused coverage.
So you want socialism but without the Jews? I donโt think you realize how close your ideology is the Hitlerโs. You call it universal healthcare, but I call it a government take-over of the healthcare system. What about people like me who donโt want to participate in your healthcare system? Will I be thrown in prison if I refuse to pay into it? You speak disparagingly about capitalism. What if we want to produce, buy and sell without government taxes and regulations? Will we have our property stolen or thrown in prison? How will you keep your new ruling elite from becoming corrupt? As long as you continue the system of coercive government it doesnโt matter if it has Jews, if you call it capitalism or socialism, you will have to use violence to make it work.
There's a point of clarity missing. It's that ultra conservative colonizing imperial forces have captured Izrael and the US. These people focus on oppression and fear as a path to empowering themselves and their selected few. The cost is detrimental to society at large.
These would be Zi0nists and those pushing for project2025, which comes from the Heritage Foundation.
If we embraced democracy, then the representatives elected to office would serve their constituents rather than foreign interests. Domestic issues are those within the confines of the constituency, and scaling up to regional and national needs.
FARA isn't being upheld.
Healthcare in the US is treating sickness only enough to keep symptoms managed, not removing root causes. Thus it is profitable. Doctor to patient relationships are derailed by insurance profitability.
Many countries successfully treat health conditions with cures. But this isn't the way we handle health in the US. It includes looking at the food supply.
So if we just get rid of these ultra conservative forces everything will work perfectly? How are you going to get rid of those forces? How do you ensure they arenโt replaced by even worse forces? Using oppression and fear to empower a select few is a ancient past-time of all statists, of both the left and right variety. Whatโs the similarity between the Zionist project and project 2025? Have you actually read it? Whatโs the worst thing in there?
Democracy is a fairy tale. It will never work like you hope. The people will always be tricked by the ruling elite to vote the way they want. Even if you deport all the Jews and rid the country of foreign influence there would be plenty of non-Jews to fill the vacuum with their own bullshit.
The government screwed up the healthcare system and made it the way it is now. Giving them even more power isnโt going to fix it, it will just make it worse.
You can take all the money and assets from the top 1% and it would only fund the government for a few months. But what you say makes no sense. How are you going to get money out of politics while increasing the governmentโs budget? As long as there is coercive government there will be powerful people who use their power to oppress others. There is no such thing as getting the right people in charge. You will only succeed is causing poverty.
How are you going to take away the influence of the Zionists? Purge them? Take their money? I need details. And how are you going to tell the difference between Zionists and non-Zionist Jews? What if they are lying to hold onto their power and influence?
We literally outnumber these fascist fuckers by BILLIONS. We just need to organize. A global general strike is long overdue and badly needed.

Work I understand. No choice. Which is why the Republicans gutted all of our social safety nets to prevent it. Everything else, no excuses. I am๐

Yep, that's why they're allowing Covid to spread unmitigated.
And it appears H5N1 is on the way.
Yep๐ข๐ท
Almost difficult to read thisโฆ
New here, and GREAT POST. I agree with you, and I think we WILL get there. There's still plenty of us that are NOT insane... Cheers.

Let's not forget other stakeholders here:
Insurance companies & regional/ state/ fed governments.

This "new normal" is loooong overdue!

How do you plan on getting rid of "coercive government" and the "forces" of the rich?
Who said that? You're just another ๐คก
Who said what?
That we don't want Jewish people involved. You said that. No one else has. It's Zionism that's the problem ๐คฆโโ๏ธ

Ah, canโt answer the question.
Thatโs not an argument.
