Great piece! It makes me think that our movements are actually winning. This is such a desperate tactic. if the state is this desperate to suppress what it means to be human and connected.

I’m writing about elite capture on my Substack now. Your piece is reminding me that while the movements in 2020 are less visible, they are very much alive. I think we have an ability to recapture that magic and fight the backlash.

About to check out your piece on movement being co-opted. I think there’s a lot of truth to what you say here, and that the overreach and exaggeration speaks of fear and delusion. So I hope we can be militant and organized and diligent and also hopeful in our resistance.

Such good writing here, really brings people(myself) up to speed as far as what is really going on. This is the epitomy of fascism. They in essence say the are indicting the very idea of community. It's scary and yet so typical.

I’m going to ask the dopey, ignorant question here. Who is standing behind COP CITY in terms of Georgia politicians? The GOP? Dems? Both?

Many parallels between this and the Trump RICO trial. The corporate state does not want to be disagreed with or challenged, even via traditionally democratic means. Wish we could cross barriers and re-agree upon norms so the playing field is just for all.
